Carolyn Sayre
Carolyn has always enjoyed trying new ways to move their body and got into circus as a way to challenge themself to get stronger while having fun. Prior to circus, they have explored dance, martial arts, yoga, pilates, rock climbing, and rowing. In order to fund their circus habit, they work full-time as a career scientist in biotech and perform genetic engineering for cell-based therapies. They also recently started a dance company with their friends. They currently enjoy dabbling in aerial rope, cyr and german wheel, and have some proficiency in partner acrobatics.
Teacher Bio
Carolyn received certification in inclusive aerial arts coaching in April 2024. They got their start in coaching by assistant-teaching duo trapeze workshops and aerials for larger bodies at Commonwealth Circus Center in JP. They believe that all bodies are circus bodies and are always excited to break down skills into more easily digestible pieces, and help their students find joy in their movement.
